Who are our courses suitable for?
For everyone looking for fun in the snow! Whether it’s your first time on skis, you’re getting back into it after a break, or you want to perfect your technique – kids and adults, skiers and snowboarders are all equally welcome.
From what age can children take part in the courses?
Our courses are suitable for children from 4 years of age. We offer special courses for ages 4–6 and extended courses for children aged 7–16.
Do I need my own ski equipment?
Yes! You need skis, poles, ski boots, a helmet (mandatory for children) and appropriate warm clothing. No problem if you don’t have your own: at our ski rental you can easily rent high-quality equipment for children and adults. You can add the equipment directly when booking.
Do I need a ski pass?
Yes – each participant needs a valid ski pass. It’s not included in the course price, but can be purchased easily on site or online. Children up to 6 years ride all lifts for free.
When and where is the meeting point?
The meeting point is at 09:30 at the top station of the Gernkogelbahn 6-seater chairlift Alpendorf (Kreistenalm). Alternatively, you can drop off your children at 09:00 at one of our locations to the ski instructors.
Is there a ski depot? Where can I store my ski equipment?
At our ski depots at our mountain and valley locations you can conveniently store your equipment overnight. This saves you from transporting it every day.
What does a typical course day look like?
After a warm welcome and group allocation, we start with a joint warm-up. Then you can expect 2–3 hours of varied lessons with short breaks – and of course lots of fun on the slopes, possibly including lift rides.
How big are the groups?
We deliberately keep our groups small. As a rule, there are a maximum of 6 people in a group. This allows our ski instructors to address each participant individually and achieve optimal learning success.
How are groups formed?
Our groups are carefully put together according to age and skill level. On the first day we do a short test run – this ensures that everyone ends up in the right group and feels completely comfortable.
What progress can be expected?
Beginners often master their first descents on easy slopes after just a few hours. Advanced learners refine their technique, discover carving, or venture off-piste.
What happens in bad weather?
Our courses take place in almost all weather conditions. In case of extreme weather, we will inform you in good time about any changes or cancellations.
Can parents watch their children?
Generally yes – parents are welcome to watch! However, keeping a small distance is advisable so that the children can fully concentrate on the instructor.
Is there lunchtime supervision?
Our courses last about 2–3 hours. Therefore, lunchtime supervision is not planned.
What should children bring?
Please remember a helmet, ski equipment and warm, weatherproof clothing. Sunscreen, a small snack and tissues are also useful – that way nothing stands in the way of a great day on the slopes!
What if my child doesn’t want to continue skiing?
Our ski instructors are trained to motivate children with care and playfulness. If necessary, we will inform the parents immediately – therefore, please always provide a current phone number.
Is there a final run or a ski race?
Yes! On the last course day we organize an exciting little speed race where all participants receive a medal – a crowning finale full of fun and pride!
Can my child join the course on any day?
Yes – it’s possible to start on any day (except Saturdays). Our ski instructors have Saturdays off, so the possible start date depends on the desired course duration.
How can I book a course?
Easy: book directly via our website or register in person at one of our locations. Please note: registration should be completed by 5:00 pm on the day before the course starts at the latest.
Can our children be in the same group?
Yes – if age and skill level match, your children can of course be in the same group. If one child skis a little better, they simply join the slower group. Please let us know this request early so that we can take it into account as best as possible.
